@amelie.trepanier @frederique I am hoping you guys have your eyes on legendary Ian Bell’s GTR Revival!
Which games do you want to play with D-BOX
@amelie.trepanier @frederique Will there be any chance that your team will revisit some of the Need For Speed games like NFS: Unbound, NFS: Rivals, NFS: Heat? Or are most development efforts focusing on new to be released games? Thank you!
More of the Need For Speed games or any arcade racers (rather than sim racers). Could you get Hot Pursuit Remastered to work with the original code? Also a basic adaptive gaming profile for racing games, I can’t seem to make one myself, that would just do basic turning, braking and engine rumble that we could use on all older racing games, I’d really like to be able to use motion with some emilated arcade games like Sega Rally, Daytona and Mario Kart
We have communicated your requests to our coding team. We will provide timely updates as we work to confirm these games with you. Thank you for your inputs!
There is an application called the Intiface Game Haptics Router, with all the code available on github, which reads the rumble data sent from a PC game to an Xinput controller and reroutes that data to a different haptic device. This application also reads the specific intensity of the rumble sent from the game to the Xinput controller, including left motor speed and right motor speed. By using this process, whether it is using this code with all the necessary permissions granted, or by creating a new application that captures rumble data from a PC game to an Xinput controller, I believe it is possible to reroute the haptics from an Xinput supported game to a D-BOX haptic device. The intensity data of the left and right motors received by an Xinput controller from a game could even be mapped to a motion or haptic effect on a D-BOX haptic device. This would allow thousands of PC games that support Xinput rumble to become compatible with D-BOX haptic devices without having to make individual mods.
Hello Jarird,
Thank you for your suggestion, we will pass down the information to our team!
